I consider myself a SharePoint geek, but I play more and more in the larger Office 365 (O365) sphere these days. In doing so, I’ve noticed that O365 as a concept is difficult to explain… both to IT folks and the everyday workers who are expected to use it. So I put together a new infographic that (hopefully) provides a quick intro to O365, its apps, and how they're all related. Good for both the IT crowd and lines of business. Hi All, We are in phase 1 of Teams Only adoption/migration plan, and as we were looking at the different personas, we came across this specific need from the L&D team where they would like to leverage Teams as a Virtual Classroom tool. I have listed down the requirements of the classroom below. I am looking for ideas if someone has already used MS Teams in that capacity. Requirements Additional comments Availability in Teams Audio/visual capability (cameras and videos) Available Chat capability Available Raise Hand/Participant Status info It is essential to have this feature to avoid situations when people start to talk over each other. L&D team wants to create a comfortable environment where each attendee can speak without any interruption. Not Available Breakout Rooms Create small groups with 5 – 6 members and assign different topics to groups. Each group will join a separate breakout meeting to discuss the assigned topics. Not Available However, we can create different channels for each group/team and use the “Meet Now” capability as an alternative. Poll/Q&A capability Available only in Channel Meetings Whiteboard To brainstorm on ideas No Native app yet(https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/16938955-add-a-whiteboard) MS recommends using Freehand by Invision- 3rd party app Our main pain point is how to incorporate the "Hand Raise" capability in MS Teams Meeting.Solved10KViews3likes9Comments[infographic] Where to start a conversation for teamwork in Office 365
Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Yammer - all places for teamwork in Office 365. GREAT apps for sure but HOW to start with your teamwork in Office 365 ? It's not about what the products can do (they can do a lot :-) ) but what you as team can do with the products. Microsoft is explaining this with the 'Inner Loop' and 'Outer Loop'. I created an infographic for this - take a look!7.9KViews4likes0CommentsTeams adoption
We have attempted using a messenger app (a different one) in the past; about a dozen people tested it, some liked it, some were rather impartial to it. In my industry (construction), it seems to be rather difficult to introduce any operational changes so this scenario is no different. Before I even try to roll this initiative out on a company-wide scale, I wanted to reach out to the community for any recommendations on how to get my colleagues excited about this great communication tool. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. RomanaSolved4.8KViews0likes8CommentsGoal: Champions Program
Hi! I am just starting out on the Adoption path and am very excited! I have checked out Microsoft Service Adoption Specialist course and been reading many of your insightful comments on Change Management. We deployed Teams back in March 2020 when most users went remote. Unfortunately, due to the early deployment, people never got a chance to fully explore what Teams could do for them unless they chose to explore it themselves. Our users use OneNote, Outlook, Forms, and Teams. We will be remote for the foreseeable future. We are a smaller business, 600+ with a mixture of frontline and call center. We have some plans to have a live event and other ways of showing users how our executives/Team Leaders are using Teams. What advice do you have for beginning a Champions Program while working remote? How have you affectively engagement with your early adopters without overwhelming them? What goals or deadlines did you set for yourself as a smaller business to make creating a Champions program more "bite-size?" Please feel free to add any advice you think would be helpful as I start out on this adventure 🙂Solved4.3KViews3likes7CommentsSkype for Business to Teams Adoption Strategy
I love the change management strategy that Microsoft has published for Teams(link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/MicrosoftTeams/change-management-strategy). In our company, we are very close to starting a Teams only pilot and would most likely be using the same approach(as a similar strategy was very successful with OneDrive adoption). The critical piece in Teams adoption plan will be to understand how the users are leveraging Skype for Business. if the client is starting to use O365 as a new service; pitching for Teams adoption as per MS published https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/MicrosoftTeams/change-management-strategy seems to be the best approach(welcome to hear feedback if you have had a different experience). However, If they are using Skype for Business as the primary communication tool, then we will have focus a lot on feature comparison and try to explain the similarities and difference between the tools. Has anyone worked on this yet and would like to share the experience and strategy? Thanks, TanyaSolved3.8KViews0likes3CommentsDownloadable Adoption Kit
