Announced at Ignite, and in an effort to simplify the user experience and make Copilot more accessible to everyone, Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise are becoming Copilot, with commercial data protection enforced when any eligible user is signed in with Microsoft Entra ID. Additionally, try out Copilot on its new site, copilot.microsoft.com!Copilot sidebar in Edge "unable to connect to the service"
Hello Everyone, We are having intermittent issues with the Copilot sidebar in Edge. It works sometimes, and other times we get an error that says "We're sorry but we're unable to connect to the service at this time." It has a refresh button which doesn't help. What's weird, is that we have Copilot licenses enabled for our users and going to https://bing.com/chat works fine in all cases (and shows the user signed in and "protected" as expected). Anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions to fix this issue? BrianMS Copilot (free version) - commercial use of text and images generated
Dear MS Team nad other Advisors. I would kindly like to ask about Microsoft Copilot - free version (web based and Skype Bing Chat based). I would like to use Copilot free version commercially, mainly in Poland (EU): a) generating text, using this text as inspiration or copy it to my company's social media posts or ebooks which I will be selling b) generating images for company's social media (e.g. Facebook group background or information posts with image to make them more entertaining) c) generating images for ebooks and video courses which I will be selling I live in Poland and have a commercial Office 365 subscription (1-person company / freelance). I have found by myself that: 1) https://www.bing.com/new/termsofuse?FORM=GENTOS Bing Chat / Image Generator Terms of Use have changed and now they do not state that output cannot be used commercially. 2) https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/bing/forum/all/commercial-use-of-images-generated-using-copilot/af4613c4-9ed5-40ed-81df-65aea64b246f Somebody's output form Copilot stated that it can be used for free commarcially, but when I ask Copilot myself, it responds that I cannot answer that kind of question and it ends topic (I cannot continue it). 3) https://learn.microsoft.com/pl-pl/copilot/terms-of-use Microsoft does not claim any rights to output (images / text / etc.) generated by Copilot 4) https://www.uctoday.com/collaboration/is-microsoft-copilot-free-the-complete-guide-to-copilot-pricing/ Free Copilot has "Commercial Data Protection" which would suggest that it can be commercially used. My questions are: 1) Can I use Copilot free version commercially (especially images generated by it)? 2) Do I have to add a watermark? If yes - what watermark (Mine? Copilot's? Both?)? Is it required or optional? Does it grant any additional protection (like author's rights protection)? Regards JarosławConcerning Consistent Hallucinations
Every once in a while when I try to have BCE provide a page summary for a PDF using the Edge Bar, it'll come up with information about a Korean Room-temperature superconductor (LK-99). I have never searched about this and I'm not sure why it is coming up. At first I thought it was a fluke and that it misinterpreted some information from the document but I've had at least 3 occurrences now.. Another instance below shows that it was partially correct when returning info from the page but then in the same response, it lists the URL to the phys.org page talking about the superconductor. I was actually able to reproduce the issue twice with this same document after closing Edge completely. (identifying info has been redacted) Edit: I should also mention that the document doesn't contain anything pertaining to this superconductor or any references to the article mentioned.Timeline to complete Bing Chat Enterprise rebranding
Hi, The name change from Bing Chat Enterprise (BCE) to “Copilot” has been done for the URL copilot.microsoft.com, but the URL bing.com/chat still displays the old title “Bing Chat Enterprise”. Is there an estimated time frame for completing the name change to “Copilot”? I ask this question because it makes the documentation to users a bit confusing. ThanksSolvedAdd context to guide Copilot?
I have Excel documents and SharePoint lists that contain data around projects I'm working on. When I prompt Copilot about this data - it does not understand what the data represents - which is understandable because it is just data. How can I add some context to the data to help when Copilot when adds it to the semantic index?SafeSearch only on bing.com/chat?
Could someone explain this to me if necessary?! bing.com/chat should be the same as copilot.microsoft.com Why can't students go to bing.com/chat because of SafeSearch, but everything works fine on copilot.microsoft.com? I've already tried everything possible, registry keys are set, Intune policies are working correctly, profile has already been switched from school to work... I'm starting to doubt my sanity. I've already switched the license from student to teacher as a test, without any impact. Should actually work with A3 / A5. 😕SolvedWelcome to the Bing Chat Enterprise discussion page!
