Cell Validation - Drop Down Lists and Text Formatting
Hi, I have a form in Excel that has a couple of drop down list options. I have my lists saved on a separate tab and i would like the options within one of the lists to repeat the specific text/cell formatting i have in place (each option has a different colour of text and cell fill applied, with mixed font sizes within the same cell). Is there a away o can do this without also adding conditional formatting to the cell that contains the drop down? CF doesn't quite give the result i am looking for as it doesn't mirror the mixed font sizing i have in place for the actual list. Would appreciate any help you can offer with this. Thank you J
Relative conditional formatting
Hello, I have multiple worksheets in Excel 365 that present data from one month to another. I am trying to make the data turn green if it's gone up since the previous month or red if it's gone down. I would like to know the quickest way to copy-paste the conditional formatting so it is relative to the previous month and not reference the original cell in the formula. ex: I have sales in column A2 to A50 in worksheet february and would like to format it n relation to column A2 to A50 in worksheet january while matching A2 feb with A2 jan, A3 feb with A3 jan... I hope I'm being clear. If it's easier with Icons, I can do that instead. Thanks!
Input style in custom number formatted cell seconds.milliseconds possible?
Hello, I want to custom my number format as ss.00; But when I input my time in my cell as seconds.hundreths, it returns nothing. One way it worked was for me to input my time as minutes(0):seconds.hundreths. Is there not a way for me to only enter the desired data, as seconds.hundreths? Bypassing the 0minutes:... Also, I've seen in some custom fields the symbol @ at the end of it : what does that stands for? Thank you.
Adding Display Zero as Dashes to Custom Excel Number Format
Hi There, I am currently using the following custom format cells for my number display: #,###.0,;[Red](#.0,); I would like to add to this, so that when a value is "0", a dash "-" is displayed instead of the zero. Thanks in advance for the help! EmmaDonut/Doughnut Chart - Multiple Series
I have created a doughnut chart with multiple series (represented by multiple rings - see charts below). Each ring is divided into 6, the colour of which corresponds to one of three options (yes, maybe and no). I therefore want the colour of the chart to represent this clearly (green, yellow and red), making each ring comparable - i.e. so that the entire chart is made up of only three colours. When I format the legend entry to edit the colours, it only applies the changes to the inner ring/the first series. I am able to manually edit the colour of every other ring segment, however with a lot more data to add this will take a very long time and mean that I am no able to easily edit it should I wish to change the colour again. I imagine there is a way to do this in one simple step, however am unable to find it. Does this make sense? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hello, how to create even more thicker (than those avaliable per click) line styles in "Format Cells->Border->Line->Style. Question is - how can I create the border that is thicker, or is it possible to create my own border line style - for example using Paint to draw it? Thanks for any advice :)
