External users
8 TopicsMicrosoft forms and external upload files possible?
Good afternoon, We as a company want to create forms that our customers can fill in with the data we need. Like plans and technical drawings. I hoped that it would be possible to create these forms, but when i try to add the upload file question I need to change the settings to only internal. Is there no possibility to create forms that have the request of uploading files from external parties we send the link to? Kind regards, Carina45KViews0likes6CommentsCan we share form to specific external users and capture who submitted the response?
Hello, We would like to understand if we can share the form to specific external users. Also, the available option - 'Anyone with link can respond' does not capture the email and name of the responder. Can this be possible to in forms ? It would be really helpful and apriciated if someone already have idea on this. Regards, Sagar Acharya11KViews0likes5CommentsMicrosoft Forms upload ability from outside of the organization
Hi Microsoft support recently informed "As for the uploading of files, this can only be done within the organization due to privacy concerns or to avoid getting malware files from anonymous users. " and told me to bring my suggestion here so microsoft can start looking into adding this feature to the forms. We often require documents from clients or staff that do not have an email address with the organization. The form would support our work, save us time and keep everything we do here at Microsoft. Is there any plan to include document upload options in microsoft forms for people outside of the organization? thank you4.1KViews0likes1Comment"File Upload" Option not available for external users.
"File upload" option is only available when set Microsoft Forms “Only people in my organization can respond” or “Specific people in my organization can respond” is the selected setting. When we set, "Anyone can Respond" the option "Upload File" greyed out3.7KViews0likes2CommentsMs Form - "Anyone can respond" Not working anymore
Hello, I have a Microsoft form set to "Anyone can respond" that I shared with external members of my organization, and the link was perfectly functional until now for anyone having the link. Since the end of the week 07/24/19, this form is no longer accessible without logging in (when testing with the link in private browsing, I am redirected to the login page) and it is also not accessible while loged to a Microsoft account external to my organization. Has anyone else encountered this problem or is it a residual impact of the global bug related to the latest Microsoft update? Do you know how to report this bug if necessary? Thanks in advance.1.4KViews0likes5CommentsMicrosft Forms Permissions
Hello, We created a form for people to RSVP for an event. We shared the link with our invitees. Some individuals when they follow the link will see other peoples answers displayed in the question fields instead of the prompts we created. Furthermore, one individual opened Forms on their computer and saw that they had editing permissions to our form. How could this have happened and is there a way to remove people from what appears to be an editing permission? Thanks!1.1KViews0likes5CommentsRestrict access to a Form to include external users in our tenant?
Hello, I'm setting up an automation where a Form response triggers a Power Automate Flow that updates a non-critical value in Business Central records. It works well except that I want the form to be non-public but to still be usable for people that are from different tenants but added as guests or members in our Entra. I haven't found what kind of setup and changes I need to make for this to be possible, I feel like it's either people within my domain or public, nothing in between. Is there really no way to restrict access to exclude public and anonymous users but include users from externa tenants and invited in my domain ? This is the current Entra setup for the kind of user I want to be able to access the form, I have tried with both user type Guest and Member but no change. Hi, I haven't been able to find anything on the forum quite fitting my situation yet. I am setting up survey forms for 100+ faculty members across our educational programs for our students to evaluate them. Students will get the URLs to the surveys of the faculty in their program; they sometimes interact with faculty from other programs or teachers that aren't in our org, so it's important that they are told who specifically they should evaluate. Once the students evaluate the faculty, administration then wants to send the anonymous results to the faculty members in a nice, compiled report. I currently have a master survey that I will be duplicating from. I submitted a trial response, and then set up a "report" page on the Excel Online workbook the form generated. It works fine, and saves between openings. However, when duplicating the survey form, I've realized that I cannot access the Excel Online spreadsheet until a response is received in the duplicated form. I submitted a trial response in a duplicated form and discovered that the Excel Online workbook does not duplicate along with the form (basically, I only had the responses, and no report page). Is there a way I can: - duplicate the Excel Online workbook along with a Form, or - view the Excel Online workbook created by the Form before submitting a response, or - easily duplicate the Report page without having to manually adjust cell references to that workbook, or - An easier way to go about this project that I'm just missing? Thank you!415Views0likes1Comment
