I migrated from Small Business server 2008 to 2019 and read that I could setup the system to be a Host and VM using Hyper-V. The host keeps turning off and I found an error in the logs telling me that "The Non-domain Member Check policy detected a condition in your environment that is out of compliance with the licensing policy. This server can only be in a workgroup or be a domain controller." Do I need to remove the host from AD?1KViews0likes1CommentDecommissioning Essentials 2012 server, replacing with 2022 - final steps before remove old AD role?
Hi folks, Had another post on this where SYSVOL and NETLOGON weren't working.. figured it out.. I confirmed DFS was definitely in use. I've migrated the FSMO roles to the new server. I've updated the PDC emulator to the new server. I removed the certificate service (as I understand it's not needed given I'm not using all the web fluff of old Essentials, and new one doesn't have it) - but I did back it up. Is there anything else I need to do? ... or just remove the AD role on the old server?975Views0likes6CommentsError in integrating Office 365 with Windows Server 2016 Essentials.
Error in Office 365 Intrusion with Windows Server 2016 Essentials. Already try everything, put the VM in Azure too, but always the error. I would already forget, there is also this bug, which changes into a language I have never seen.789Views0likes0CommentsWindows Server Essentials 2019 shutting down on Domain Environment
Hello, the company that I work for uses Windows Server Essentials 2019 in our products, but we have been receiving complaints from our customers that servers are shutting down weekly when they have this machines added to the Domain environment. We can see that service SILSVC is the responsible for this action, but we don't know the reason. Is there a limitation of Essentials with Domain, or maybe a misconfiguration either on the Windows Roles or Domain configuration?674Views1like0CommentsTeams Essentials
Hello community, I am trying to understand how the "Teams Essentials" subscription works and since I don't have much experience with MS365 I have a few questions. Is tasks by planner included in Microsoft Teams Essentials ? On https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/compare-microsoft-teams-options it says "Files sharing, tasks, and polling" but I haven't found any details about it. Is Teams Essentials completely separated from MS365 ? Does that mean that I cannot mix in a single tenant Teams Essentials subs with Microsoft 365 Business Basic subs for my corporate users ?
