SFB not changing status automatically to "In a meeting" when joining a meeting.
I'm having issues with Skype for business on my PC. When I join a meeting linked to my Outlook, my skype status will not update to "in a meeting" nor is that option available for me to change manually. If anyone has any insight on this I'd greatly appreciate it.
Skype for Business compatibility with regular Skype
Greetings. We're new to Skype for Business having switched to Office 365 midway through 2017. Clients and vendors that used to be able to reach me via Skype are having difficulty connecting with us now that we run Skype for Business. Files do not transfer during IM sessions, and conference calls involving more than one person (where I am the only Skype for Business user) fail to connect regardless of who initiates the call. All Microsoft seems to say is that the two programs aren't very compatible, but this is a big impediment if we cannot communicate well with clients/vendors. Does anyone have insight into this? We run Windows 10 on our laptops and the 32bit version of Skype for Business. Thanks! GregSetup PSTN Conferencing in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft just released Teams PSTN Conferencing service right before Microsoft Ignite. Setup a new meeting, add attendees as follow. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/87273520.3.png For now, you cannot invite external users as attendees in Teams yet like you can in SFB Meeting Invite, I believe you can do that in soon future. So, if you need to invite external users, just copy the invite message and email them. I invited two users, one user is my internal user who received the invite email, I manually copy the invitation email and send to the other user, who will join the meeting using his mobile/phone; both joined the meeting, you will see a user is using his mobile number to join and while my internal users use teams client to join. The external user called +6531570124 (Toll) number to join the PSTN conferencing. Our firm uses the Office 365 Enterprise E1 software suite and we wanted to start utilizing Skype For Business. unfortunately I discovered that I can't create meetings in the Outlook calender. The IM and presence functionality works fine. We have no on-site infrastructure and are fully cloud based. Am I missing a setting? Hi, Can anyone point to documentation that speaks to how far in advance someone could setup a poll in a meeting? I see documentation on the contentment retention after a meeting, but nothing that states how far in advance you can preload content. Previously my organization relied on the call me at feature for our E3 users that did not have a headset/microphone to join meetings with. We tried to use this feature today and it no longer works. From what I am reading you now want us to purchase an E5 license for this feature. When did this change? Were notifications sent out? This was working for us less than 2 months ago. Lana O'Brien
