41 TopicsMCT New and Renewing MCTs - Update July 26
Updated July 26, 2025 As we step into FY26 on July 1st, 2025, I want to share some important updates regarding the MCT Program—especially for those planning to renew. New Fees Coming October 2025, no exact date and the cost will be shared at a later date. Starting July 1st, 2025, we will introduce: A renewal fee (ecommerce tool will be available in October 2025 for everyone to renew) A new MCT enrollment fee (ecommerce tool will be available in October 2025 for new MCTs) Our systems are currently being updated to support this change, with the new tool expected to launch in October 2025. More to come on costs. Pricing will be region supported. Session Requirement for Renewal Effective January 1st, 2026, MCTs will be required to complete six (6) sessions or six (6) days of training per calendar year to qualify for renewal. For clarity on what qualifies as a session, please refer to the attached PDF: Mandatory Use of MTM We will be enforcing stricter requirements for using Metrics That Matter (MTM) to log sessions with your Training Services Partner (TSP). Please coordinate with your TSPs to ensure MTM is being used correctly. What to Expect Next More details on program costs will be shared closer to the tool’s release. All MCTs that were MCTs before manual enrollment have been extended through January 1st, 2026, with full benefits. You’ll see this extension reflected in your profile in your MCT Trainer History NOT active certification. All current MCTs will be able to renew when the tool is available in October 2025 and the requirement to renew will be to have an active certification and have taught one class since your last renewal and pay the renewal fee (costs to come later). We will be checking that you have taught the one class using MTM. New MCTs will need ISC certificate, one role-based active certification and pay the MCT new enrollment fee. New MCT Enrollment Process | Microsoft Learn 🙏 Thank you for your continued support and patience as we enhance our systems. Here’s to a successful and impactful FY26!October 2018 Community Call - Presentation & Recording
Thank you to the over 900 people who attended our Champion's Community Calls yesterday. I'm personally thrilled with the response and participation. I'm including here the presentation and link to the recording of our call. Our program team learned a few things yesterday as well: Answers to Questions: Many of you had questions during the event on a variety of topics. As there are too many to answer in a single post we want to publish answers in a way that is easy to consume for everyone and begins to build a knowledge base for our community. Give us a few days to work out what that looks like and we will post the responses. Several people also made suggestions for additional topics that I'd like to post as conversation threads so we will do that as well. Availability of Information: After every call we will post a message like this that will always include the presentation and a link to the recording. I will be posting separate messages with each set of tools we discussed in the call. Topics for our Community: Many of you wanted more information on the Adoption Framework, Teams implementation, OneDrive and SharePoint subjects and to hear from others who are doing adoption projects. We are working on our coming months agenda now and all of those topics will be covered with more depth. We are seeking to have customers present to complement the Microsoft staff who will also be sharing best practices and feature information in our community. Post Event Survey: We will post the event survey separately so you can share with us your meeting feedback, agenda suggestions and a little about where you are in the adoption journey in your organization. This information will only be used to improve the experience and help us tailor the topics we present to you in this community. Thank you again for your participation and keep that feedback coming so we can make this a great experience for you all.Solved7.4KViews17likes13CommentsCopilot for MCTs
I participated in the February 2024 Training Services Partner Community Call (TSPCC) about an hour ago, where numerous Copilot courses and Applied Skills Assessments were announced. However, a critical concern remains unaddressed: the accessibility of Copilot for Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCTs) to effectively teach these courses and conduct assessments. The current guidance of "Bring your own subscription" (which was provided to me as a response in the TSPCC Q & A today) for training organizations is impractical and does not align with the needs of MCTs and training service providers (TSPs). The lack of a feasible solution for accessing Copilot presents a significant barrier to entry, particularly for individual trainers and small to medium-sized TSPs. The financial burden of procuring a Copilot license, with its substantial upfront cost and lack of a monthly payment option, is a deterrent to many, including myself and many TSPs in my region. This situation creates an uneven playing field, favoring larger enterprise TSPs capable of acquiring multiple licenses, thereby monopolizing the market and client base. It is imperative to recognize that the demand for instructor-led training in Copilot is high, with students seeking guidance and consultation in navigating this revolutionary tool. The self-learning route is not a viable alternative for all learners. I urge Microsoft WWL to expedite the development of a solution that provides MCTs with complimentary access to Copilot, enabling us to deliver the high-quality training that is in demand. The current model is not sustainable and risks alienating a significant portion of the training community. It is crucial for Microsoft WWL to address this issue promptly to ensure the successful rollout of Copilot courses and to maintain the integrity and inclusivity of the MCT program.OneDrive community call | August 2024

These links expire after each subsequent call. Instead, you can find the last 12 months of call decks and recordings in our Community Call collection.DP-203 Extended Until December 31, 2025
Hi all, I want to ensure you all see the ILT Communication Blog post regarding the extension of DP-203T00: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure until December 31, 2025. Thank you sharing the impact of this proposed retirement on your business. We received significant feedback regarding the need to extend this course, so we don't leave a training gap for partners and learners. I also want to note that this update came after our Option 1 March Community Call. If you attended that call, you did not hear this update. I have revised the deck from that call to show this announcement and provide a link out to the blog post for anyone who may access that file going forward. DanCopilot for M365 Demo Tenant
During the TSP Mars comminity call an upcoming Demo tenant was mentioned as an upcoming solution for Copilot for M365 labs. This was not in the slide deck, but it was said that it would be available during april. How is this going? Is there any update on the release date, and are there any details to be shared about this demo tenant? An update would be greatly appreciated, as it impacts our own investments in a similar solution. Thanks!Training Services Partner Dashboard Now Live on Partner Center
I am excited to update you that the first phase of our new Training Services Partner ecosystem (the availability of the Training Services Partner dashboard on Microsoft’s Partner Center) is now live. As a Microsoft partner, you can now track your organization’s curated performance data against the established Solution Area thresholds, over the last 12 completed months. You can view your dashboard by navigating to Partner Center > Membership > Training Services Partner or by clicking the link below (partner account admin role required). This dashboard launch is designed to help you understand your current performance, in the last 12 completed months, and plan your membership as we progress towards our second phase. In early 2024, Microsoft will roll out the ecommerce platform that will enable full participation in the Solution Partner for Training Services designation including purchasing the designation, enabling new designation benefits, and automating Solution Area badging. It’s important to note that meeting these performance thresholds is not a requirement to participate in the Training Services Partner ecosystem. However, partners that do meet the thresholds are eligible for additional benefits. For program information including requirements, benefits, and Solution Area thresholds please review our Get Started document collection on the Learning Resources site. Note: this dashboard is a monthly refresh of select organization performance data tied to specific program benchmarks. It is intended for managing your Solutions Area designations and requirements / benefits within your Partner Center membership. It is not intended to be an up-to-the-minute holistic view of all your activity within Microsoft or the Training Serivces Partner ecosystem. View Your Training Services Partner Dashboard More information will be available on our December 6th Partner Community Call. (Invites attached).
