For each file uploaded to a SharePoint Document library (not a list!) that I have created/uploaded I can add a "Title" - however, I am unable to make it show as a column in my library's folders. It does not appear in the show/hide columns within the library although I can see it in the column list when I open the Library settings. "Name" column is available to show/hide, but not the "Title" one. Is this some sort of bug or is there a workaround on how I can showcase the "Title" column within my library? The issue is that I would like to have numeric ID + title in the file "Name", but it would good to showcase only the "Title" (without numeric ID) in SP for better oversight. As an example, the file "Name" would be ABC_Best Document.docx, but I would like to have a column in SP for the file showing the "Title" as only "Best Document". I could of course create another column as "Title" manually, but that would not be the same field then as it is in the Word/Excel info.11KViews1like5CommentsSharePoint List - how to leverage Column Totals?
I have a SharePoint List where owners can see/edit all items, but members can only see items that they have created. Therefore, Column Count (Totals) is different for owners and members. Owners: Members: Can I leverage the Column Count of each? I plan to create a Power Automate flow that will notify me when items viewable by the owners reach a certain amount. And then a separate flow will use the Column Count of the members to notify me when items viewable by that group reach a certain amount. Is this leveraging of the Column Count (Totals) possible?1.6KViews0likes3CommentsQuick question - single to multi text column type on large dataset
Hi there! Just a quick question; I need to change a column type from "single text" to "multi text" on a SharePoint list that has 60,000 items. I know this is possible to do, the column isn't indexed, and I've done this on smaller lists before. I'm just concerned that this list item count of 60,000 could potentially cause an issue, would this be ok to do? Cheers! Steve.2.6KViews0likes4CommentsOrder of Columns of scanned Parquet Files
Hi, i did a scan of Parquet files (StorageV2 (general purpose v2)). The discovered columns are shown not the original order but alphabetically. When I do a scan with a CSV file the original order is retained. What can I do to keep the order of the columns in a scanned parquet file? Any hints? Do you have the same experience? Thanks, Bernhard1.2KViews0likes1CommentChoice column values do not show in editing form.
Hi, Users reported that by default only 9 values are loaded when they want to modify a choice column in modern experience. But after some tests, we found that when you select any of these values or click on "Add choice" button, the complete list will be loaded correctly. Do you know if there is planned fix from Microsoft?1.5KViews0likes1CommentRemoving full stops from a number sequence
Hi all, We have a single line text column that we use to ID folders. The ID's follow this structure 1.1.2.1.2 Is there a way a calculated field can take this sequence and remove the full stops between the numbers so instead of 1.1.2.1.2 we get a calculated column that returns 11212? Thanks!2.3KViews0likes2CommentsO365 SharePoint List Column Names Corrupted
While trying to import a list into Power BI, I discovered that most of the column names in one of the lists in one of our SharePoint team sites are corrupted. The display names are intact, it's the internal names that are affected. I've attached a screenshot of what I was seeing in Power BI. Example: This is the URL for what should be the "Location" column. The internal column name is showing up as "uwbz" https://mycompany.sharepoint.com/sitecollection/sitename/_layouts/15/FldEdit.aspx?List=%7BGUIDGUID-G...Field=uwbz My suspicion is that there was some sort of update going on when the list and columns were originally created. Because this is O365 and evergreen by design, we have no real idea when updates are being applied and won't see these issues until we try to do something with them, like import into Power BI or Flow. In this case I re-created the list. That's not something we would want or should have to do... Thoughts, Microsoft?6.2KViews0likes8CommentsSharepoint lookup not included in the list
Hello, I two different sharepoint list named: 1. Requests 2. Item master In the "Requests" sharepoint list, I have a column there named "Item request" that uses "Lookup" from the "Item Master". My question is some item is not yet included in the "Item Master", how can the user manually put a text that is not included in the item master, will that be possible? Thank you.787Views0likes1Comment
