Hi there! I'm trying to create a new classroom team in Teams, but neither my normal account or my GA account has permissions to create teams from templates, nor from another team. The options are greyed out and the tooltip says I don't have permission. The "from scratch" option is completely missing, only "From a group" is available. I've ensured that both accounts have a license (Education A3) and the appropriate permissions in the Teams Admin Portal (where I can create normal teams from scratch with my admin account no problem). Am I missing something? Are there any more permissions required? I've tried both in a browser and in the desktop app.415Views0likes1CommentTeams for Education - Classwork
Good morning! I'm having a lot of issues with the Classwork option in Teams. I have teams with different classes and channels within each team, all of them with class work published within the general team... But some students can't ever get to class work, can't add it as a tab... Don't know how to get them there! Is there a bug related to this?509Views0likes0CommentsClass Teams vs "Normal" Teams
Hi everyone, I work at a large educational institution which have rolled out Teams for staff. We're looking at whether Class Teams would work for us too. Is it right that the essential difference between the normal/global Teams for staff, and a Class Teams deployment, is one of permissions and how those permissions for faculty and students are managed? Basically, I guess my question is, "What is the advantage of us deploying Class Teams over creating a normal staff Team with students as members?". We're an HE institution, so not an issue with minors, and we have a robust electronic assessment system so we wouldn't use the assignment feature for summative assessment. Does a deployment of Class Teams give any significant advantage over the Staff set up we already have? Any thoughts very welcome 🙂Solved11KViews0likes2Comments
