CAP
3 TopicsCommon Area Phones \ Shared phones with resource accounts
Hi trying to make sure CAP is the only way to achieve a shared physical phone. We're trying to get some Teams phones into some factories, where workers can use when calling in issues. Ideally, I wanted to assign a service number to a resource account and assign the resource account to a Teams phone. While researching to see if this was even possible i came across CAP and it looks like what i'm trying to achieve. It comes with additional costs, and of course i'm trying to avoid that too. I just want confirmation that this is the only way to achieve what i'm trying to achieve or if theres an alternative. Thanks in advance3.4KViews0likes1CommentCommon Area Phones and MFA
Doing a project that has 77 CAPs. Need to be able to sign them in in the most efficient way. I tested one manually and the account has MFA required (Note, I am not the AD account control person). Intune is not available. Is disabling MFA on those accounts a good solution to get around MFA? How can these be signed in: 1) One by one basis 2) All at once Looking for any specific procedures that would be helpful. The simpler the better.Solved12KViews1like5CommentsAdding Common Area Phones to Speed dial groups
Hello, I am setting up a CAP and want to add it to the Speed Dial group of my Teams App. If I try to add it as a speed dial I can find it and select it but the Add button doesnt work. If I try to add it to one of the groups I have made I get the error "We couldn't add a mate to the group" Should this work or am I trying to do something unsupported? Thanks in advance Nigel2.1KViews0likes0Comments
