Bookings App
48 TopicsProblem with Bookings - calendars are gone from my profile, yet they're still active online
I am a teacher - I created multiple booking calendars for classes I teach, for the purpose of setting up meetings with students. When I last logged into Bookings, I tried to "Open" one of my calendars (to make some changes in the backend about my availability), however I was met with the message "We can't find any booking calendars". All of my booking calendars are gone. Nothing, but the calendar I most recently made is accessible in Bookings. However, oddly, my calendars still remain active online. So the problem is that I now don't have backend access to make changes to the calendar, I can't even delete them if I wanted too, but yet they remain live for students. Basically, I can no longer update the bookings pages I created. Any ideas on how to fix this? Here is the error message I receive: Even as I just open the search bar (without actually typing anything to search for), I get the "We can't find any booking calendars" message... Yet, here is an active link to the calendar, which I created: https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/FINEINDG216@uofwaterloo.onmicrosoft.com/bookings/7.3KViews2likes5CommentsUse authenticated user email automatically
How can I make it so that when bookings is limited to users in my organization it automatically uses their email address instead of having an entry field for email? I have users who are entering their personal email in the email field which is causing issues with follow up emails, online meeting invites, etc. This should happen automatically for logged in users.4.4KViews5likes8CommentsEinbinden/Anzeigen mehrerer Kalender in Bookings
Hallo Community. Danke vorab und beste Grüße, Adrian4.4KViews1like7CommentsSettings for same day bookings
Hello, I have set the minimal lead time to one hour, however when people want to book an appointment, they are not able to for the next two days, evethough there are no appointments tomorrow. How can I fix this so that people can make same day and next day bookings?3.9KViews0likes3CommentsUpdates in the confirmation emails
A few of our customers have noted this week that the confirmation emails that are sent when a booking is made have been updated. One new change is that the details from the "custom fields" have finally been added to the confirmation email which is a feature that would be really useful for our customers. The problem is that this feature doesn't seem to work as expected. Our customers are receiving emails with the first options from each of the drop-down boxes instead of the options that they selected when making a booking. This leads to confusion for the customer about what exactly they have booked. This is obviously not a good user experience and since I can't find any documentation about this change I presume it is still in some kind of testing phase. This problem doesn't affect the actual booking information which the customer still has access to if they push the button to rebook their appointment. But this has never been a very intuitive way for them to confirm these details which is why having it in the emails would be a great improvement to the program and the overall booking experience. Testing the booking service from a user point-of-view confirmed this bug earlier today but the problem doesn't seem to be consistent and after testing a few different scenarios the section with the "Custom Fields" (which is called "Your details") has disappeared again from the confirmation emails. This new section was notably in English whereas the rest of the confirmation email was in the language chosen for the booking page in the settings - if that helps to debug this problem? (As there have been problems caused by the language settings previously) I figured that my only solution at the moment was to add a note using the "Additional information for email confirmation" section to tell our customers that this is a bug and that it doesn't affect their booking. We have used Microsoft Bookings to deal with nearly 2000 bookings in just 8 months and it has completely changed the way we organise things. But changes within Microsoft Bookings like this without any documentation to say what has changed and when it changed can cause critical problems for the users of this program. Is there somewhere that the users of Microsoft Bookings can see a log of the changes being made so that we can know if a change is going to critically affect the way we are using this program? This isn't the first time this has happened either. For example the format for the confirmation emails seemed to completely change sometime in January 2022 without any documentation about this either and although the change was for the better it also meant that the instructions we were giving to our customers was completely wrong! We are reliant on using Microsoft Bookings for the service that we provide and having the custom fields in the email confirmations would really be helpful for our customers, many of whom make multiple bookings with different answers for the "custom fields" so it would help them to keep track of their own bookings so we're eager to have this update and I'm sure many others are in a similar position. But if a new feature is being rolled out that still has bugs in it then I think that maybe we should have the the option to opt out - at least until the problems are fixed.3.2KViews1like1CommentStaff not displaying on email notification
Hello, Just noticed this on Monday, but several users are reporting that when someone books time with them the email notification no longer displays the staff name of who go the booking. Has anyone else experienced this and what the fix is? Its happening on multiple booking pages. Thank you!2.2KViews2likes15CommentsWrong date in all created appointments
When in Calendar view, if I click on an already created appointment to edit it, the start and end date of the appointment is always August 31, even if the appointment is set on a different date. This behavior started today, and it's happening in different browsers and operating systems.Solved2.2KViews1like7CommentsRoom Bookings
Hi All, I help to run a local Community Hall (Village Hall) which has 2 rooms for which we take bookings, some of which are regular bookings and some which are more Ad-Hoc such as Parties etc. We thought Microsoft Bookings would be the ideal solution for handling the various types of bookings but have been struggling to get it to work effectively. I have setup the 2 rooms as Room resources in exchange, and as Staff in Microsoft Bookings, so booked events appear on their calendars. A major drawback is the inability to do recurring bookings so I cannot automatically add in a weekly exercise class etc. I thought maybe I could work around this by adding the recurring events to the Room's calendar directly, thereby preventing double bookings (this works).. But now ideally I would like a viewable calendar which shows the recurring events along with the events created with Bookings. For some reason when I publish the Room's calendar I cannot see any details about the booking itself, all that I see is "Village Hall Booking" which is the Name of the Bookings Calendar, rather than the service which was booked :- (Badminton on Thursday is the recurring event I created directly in the Room's calendar). I am viewing the room's calendar by selecting "Open Another Mailbox" from my profile. Is there something I need to change, e.g. permissions, or is there another way to view the Room's calendar which shows full details? This is a published view of the Booking Calendar, and this shows the details of the booking service, e.g. hourly booking, or Table Tennis, but it doesn't show the recurring event for the main hall (Badminton) :- Currently the Bookings App does about 90% of the things we need, but if there is no way of at least viewing repeating events along with actual Bookings then it is a No Go. Any tips on setting up Bookings for a simple business like us with 2 rooms but with recurring items and an ability to view all the bookings would be greatly appreciated. Is it possible to "Publish" a view of 2 calendars combined as this may solve my issue? Regards Alan Sheers1.6KViews0likes3Comments
