Hello together, Background: we're currently evaluating the audio conferencing addon in MS Teams. I got the Audio conferencing Addon assigned to my account, and i can see, that the feature is active for me. I also got the e-mail from Microsoft, which includes my conference telephone number and pin. Problem: When i'm creating a conference via teams or outlook plug-in, the telephone number is not included in the text. I checked several hints from different posts, but nothing seems to work. For Teams users that want to have people be able to use a phone call for audio instead of using the PC audio, we have Microsoft 365 Audio Conferencing Licenses. If a person with this license schedules a meeting, there's a Phone Audio option where there's an option to "Call Me" and they enter their preferred phone number and Teams makes a call to that person for their audio. We would like to turn this option off so that people in Teams meetings have to call in themselves, rather than have the "Call me" so that Teams initiates the call. I believe I've found two ways to individually turn this off: 1) I can go to the Teams Admin Center, Users, open the User, and under Account, Audio Conferencing, I think I can change "Dial-out permission" to "Don't allow." 2) I think I can use a powershell command like the following to turn it off per person: Grant-CsDialoutPolicy -identity “john-smith@fami.com” -PolicyName "DialoutCPCandPSTNDisabled" Does anyone know if these options are correct? Hi All, I am looking at using Teams Audio Conferencing to replace our current dial in meeting provider. All I need is for users to be able to book Teams meetings and have a toll free number for the external attendees to dial in via. We don't need any "phone system" functionality to make regular calls, got this covered by a traditional IP phone system, this is only for meetings. Am I right that I have two choice, an add on to our E3 lics paid monthly or, as we are on an EA agreement, we can use the per-min option? What I am not clear on are conferencing credits, would this be needed for both standard audio conf lics and the per-min solution? Finally, it seems the MS link to the costings for this is broken - can anyone point me at the costs of this , based in the UK so UK pricing please. There are some good answers to questions on here already that got me close to understanding teams rooms, but I have a few specific questions I can't seem to gather answers for yet. Using without a certified room system: For a "Room" is it possible to set up some custom hardware to act in the place of a "Room System"? Really the entirety of the need is a device that is internet connected, and can connect to some video/audio equipment, and run the teams app. I suspect this is not possible, but it's pretty much the deal-breaker for us. Room systems are crazy expensive, and we would basically like to "hack it" with something like a tablet/conf room computer and some peripheral devices! Can the "Room License" be used outside of a proper certified room system? Audio conferencing call-in (normal phone number): It seems like this is possible, to license audio-conferencing to ONLY the teams room "user" and allow 3rd parties to call in via phone, but I don't fully understand all the pieces needed to get that working. What kind of licensing is needed? Even some pointers on documentation to read might help me a lot, though I have been sifting through most of it I can find. Hello Everyone, We have E1 Office365 subscriptions. We would like to add Audio Conferencing to a few of our users. The MS tech who answered our inquiry about an error we receive when trying to set up audio conf services for a test user, says that we also need to purchase Phone system licenses for all Audio Conferencing users. The Audio-Conferencing services has been running since Skype for Business Online and now the same is be rolled into as an Integration into Microsoft Teams as well. What is Microsoft Teams Audio Conferencing Services? All the users can join the Microsoft Teams Meeting using different Microsoft Teams Client on the Desktop Client, Mobile Client, Web Client on all the different platforms. What if the user trying to connect to the meeting has a bad internet connectivity? Or do not have Teams Client on the device which they are using. Hence Microsoft has now offered Microsoft Teams Audio Conferencing Services wherein the users can join the Microsoft Teams Meeting using the PSTN Conferencing Services and participate in the Microsoft Teams Meeting using the PSTN Audio Who can purchase the Microsoft Audio Conferencing Services? All the customers who have Microsoft Enterprise Plan E1 and E3 needs to add an Audio-Conferencing Add-on to existing SKU and utilize the services. For Microsoft Enterprise Plan E5 Audio-Conferencing SKU is by default included in the services For the users with Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium and Microsoft Office 365 Business Essential can also buy Audio Conferencing Services as an Add-on to the services. Did we ever notice the Audio Conferencing Numbers? This 60minutes is pooled on the Tenant Level let’s say if you purchase 10 Licenses the customer gets 600 pooled minutes monthly. This 600 minute needs to be consumed monthly and cannot be carried forward to the next month. The only difference in the service would be Dial-Out Feature is not available for the Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium and Microsoft Office 365 Business Essential customers. What if I consume all my Dial-Out Minutes will my Dial-Out Feature Stops? Yes, that’s correct once the complete tenant’s pooled minutes are consumed the dial-out feature gets stopped. Now the interesting feature Office 365 Global Admin can restrict who can dial-out from the Microsoft and who cannot dial-out from the Microsoft Teams Audio Conferencing Services. So we are using Audio Conferencing to do call backs from MS Teams. This works great except that it doesn't prompt the user to "Press 1 to join the call". What happens then is on conference calls when someone calls their desk phone and doesn't answer and it goes to voicemail, everyone on the conference call hears that person's voicemail message across the whole meeting. I have dialed into meetings with Microsoft where they are using Audio Conferencing for call back/phone audio and their auto-attendant answers and asks to press 1. I set up 2 Teams Rooms for one of my clients and in learning how to set up and use a Teams Room and train the client, there seems to be a LOT left to be desired with Teams Room, especially for the price of the Teams Room Pro license! The Teams Room includes an Audio Conference license, but if you want to use it you have to send the invite AS the room. So users needing this would need to be a delegated admin of the room resource. And who wants to send out an invite from "Main Conference Room on behalf of Jane" to their customers? This means each user needs their own Audio Conference license* to send out their own invites and then add the Teams room. What is the point of the room having an audio conference license? If you add a Teams Room to your invite, the attendees are shown the location of the meeting as that conference room, the only clue it is an online/teams meeting is the Teams info in the invite's message body. Then when the attendee gets an Outlook reminder for the meeting it actually shows the location as the conference room NOT a Teams meeting. No minutes are included so you can't actually use the Teams Room as a conference phone unless you add minutes. I would think for the cost of Teams Room Pro it would include a Teams Phone with Calling Plan license. So if you just want to have a conference call you have to setup a whole Teams meeting and then just use the audio portion. This has been a very difficult journey. Explaining all of this to my client after convincing them to spend a good amount of money on a Teams Room setup (equipment cost, to be fair, is not a Microsoft problem) and then continually telling them the limitations and how they need to spend more money for additional licenses to get the features they want is not a good solution. Hi all, Our company just did a large license review among our users. Within that review was the Audio Conferencing license (part of Teams). Due to a little mistake a few licenses where disabled from people who are still using them so we put them back but in the process there were send updated calendarinvites (some people got over a 100 emails). This way done for meetings that already have been planned for a while. I assume one for deleting the dail-in number and one to add it back. Is there a way to update the meetings without sending an e-mail to say things are changed.1.8KViews0likes0Comments
