More Audience Targeting on page content, maybe sections?
I like the new development of collapsible sections on SharePoint pages. However, the big development I'd love to see, especially in sections, would be audience targeting. This would allow me to build pages that look completely different to different audiences, and would be particularly useful on the Home Site, so I can customize the entire layout and site elements to different groups. Currently, it's only menus, links and feeds that support audience targeting, but adding it to sections would be a real game-changer. (Since UserVoice is no more, I'm posting this here... if it belongs elsewhere please let me know.)
Audience Targeting - News Web Part
We have a SharePoint Teams site which currently has certain web parts that have audience tartgeting, currently on the site we have Navigational Links & Quick Links which Audience Targeting works accordingly. However, for the news web part - any news thats featured here audience Targeting does not apply - we have security groups etc set up which work for other Tartgeting. However, for Example when we have News Article A which is targeted to Group A when a user logs onto a site for say Group B they are able to see this article on the main featured news part, nonetheless once they click the see all news article link above the featured articles, Article A is hide from Group B. Any idea why this won't work on featured articles on the main page.Enable audience targeting in Modern site pages library using pnp PowerShell
Hi, I am using below command to enable audience targeting on site pages library in Modern communication site. It adds a column namedTarget Audiences of type Audience Targeting. But I am not sure if it enables audience targeting for library since column is not visible in page properties and I do not see toggle switched to enabled in library settings. Hi, I have a set of links in a Doc Library where I've turned on Audience Targeting and set the audience to myself to test. I've turned on Audience Targeting in my Highlighted Content web part, which is set to pull all items from this specific library. However, only the item where I did NOT set an 'Audience' in the library is appearing in my web part, while the item that I DID set an 'Audience' is not showing. Any advice? Thanks!
Sharepoint Online audience targeting in list not working
Hello, I'm having trouble with target groups set up for list. I have already enabled the publishing feature on website and targeting on list. I have also set up target groups in admin section with number of members and they have been already compiled. Now I have the list of items with Target Groups assigned, but unassigned users still can see all the items. Also in the Audience column, I would expect to see simple name of the Target group. Can you please help me - what else should I do to make this list targeted? Thank you Klara
Moderne Audience Targeting - Copy and Past value and capacity
Hi all, I'm working inause casewhere we would like to target news for one or many of our branch/point of sales. We have +400branchs, andwe like to select from a few (5branches) to 300 or 400 of them. With the new"modern audience"we are planing to build dynamic security group that will contain our branch employees. Then we will usethese securitiesgroupsto target news page to specific branch. We have 2 concerns... 1) We will need to copy-and-paste security group since we may have 300 of them ans most likely a"copy and paste"on block of multiple security group nameseparatedby";". I found that in the detail page pane itdon'twork, in the detail info pane of the page library itdon'twork but the copy and paste work in the"edit all"page (look like theclassicproperty page /Forms/EditForm.aspx) of the news. Do we know if the copy-and-past of multiple item will be possible in the modern interface ? 2) The number of securitygroup/people that can be added to the audience field. Do we have a hard limit inSPOon the number of Security Group of audiences for a page ? Are we able to add 400 entry to the audiencefield orwe will hit a limit? I did notfoundan up to date version the softwareboundariesforSPO. Thank for the help and ideas 🙂
