Word for Mac: invisible codes

1)I  am using a MacBook computer 

2) Operating system is macOS Big Sur version 11.2.2.

3) I transferred an Apple Pages document to Word.

4) I use Office 365 personal

5) I activated the toggle for seeing the invisible code  

6) Now all my Word documents show the invisible codes

7) The toggle button doesn't work anymore

Is that a question?

Personally, I like the invisible codes, assuming you're talking about visible tabs, paragraph marks, and so forth. They're useful when editing. And they don't print. So what's the issue here?
