Word Equation Font
Howdy. Anyone know how to change up the default font in Word Equations so that it stays that way? I have to go in and change the font each and every time I put in an equation! Please help if you can.

Sam_Gooch550 I can't change the equation font even in an individual equation. I select the whole text in the equation, change font to Times New Roman, but when I leave the "font" menu, the equation continues with Cambria Math. I'm using Office 365 with Windows 11. Thank you.

Here are the steps to change the default font in Word Equations so that it stays that way:
Create a new style in the Word document.
Assign a shortcut key to the style.
Now insert the Equation and type a letter.
After typing a letter, click the shortcut key assigned where it applies to the rest of the content.
I hope that helps!

Howdy! Thanks much for your reply to my concern. I tried your directions but when I got to the Assign Shortcut Key I clicked it and nothing happens. What could I be doing wrong?
Thanks,
Sam

To change the default font for equations in Word 365, you need to have math fonts installed.
You can change the default font by going to “Equation Tools/Tools/Equation Options” .
However, it is important to note that some versions of Word may offer more options than others .
