JackHickey As the problem does not occur when running Word in Safe Mode, there could be an Add-in that is causing the problem. After starting Word in the normal manner, try disabling the Add-ins one at a time to try and identify one that might be causing the issue. You might also try renaming the Normal.dotm template (with Word not running) to OldNormal.dotm and then restart Word, which will then create a new Normal.dotm template.
