Unable to change forced Edit Restrictions to remove Read Only default

Copper Contributor

So I have a document that I want to make more copies of, that will relate to data in a linked Excel Spreadsheet.  This is what happens when it opens.

I don't want that happening and so I went to Developer Tab and Edit Restrictions. However, there doesn't appear to be an option to switch this off.

This is how it's set up.

I've checked the security Tab in File properties and that is not set to Read Only otherwise.

Any thoughts on why I can't seem to change it please.

Thanks in advance.

Click on the No button and then when the document opens, save it with a different name.

Hi Doug

Thanks for that.  Yesterday I thought of doing exactly the same. Then I deleted and renamed the document to the original one.

That's sorted it thanks.  I did however wonder why it wasn't possible to stop it happening in the document.  The pressure of getting on with things, made me think of your solution.

I appreciated your help once again Doug.

Thanks
