Unable to change background color iof a document created using a template

Copper Contributor

Hi,

I am using a MS word template - Modern initials resume.

I need to change the background color of the top and the left portion. I have tried everything that I can think of or find over the internet, but I am not able to do so.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a new word document using the pre-existing template - Modern initials resume

2. Try to change the background color of the top or the left side portion.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

@rinkal-rohara RIght click near the top of the document to reveal the Edit Header button and then left click on it

Then move the mouse to the position shown and left click to select the shape

Then go to the Shape Format tab that will appear on the ribbon and then click on Shape Fill and select the color that you want to use, or "No Fill" if you do not want the shape to be colored.
