Table format Problem

Copper Contributor

Hello,

when I insert a table into another table, the columns move and the structure is destroyed. Both table have the same format and use the same style sheet.

I insert the table using the following command:

Selection.InsertFile FileName:="_Table.docx", Range:="", _
ConfirmConversions:=False, Link:=False, Attachment:=False

Is there a solution for this?

I would suggest copying the table from Table.docx and then paste it into the table in the document with which you are working.

We have tried that as well and got the same problems.

@Juergen_Knauf Can you upload a copy of both documents so that we can investigate the issue.

How can I upload files?

@Juergen_Knauf Click on the "Open full text editor" link

There is no button for download. So here is my download link:

@Juergen_Knauf Before inserting (I used copy and paste) the Client Table into row 3 of the Master table, you need to merge the cells in that row and also set the Left and RIght cell margins to 0.  After doing that and pasting the Client Table, this is the result

That's already not bad, unfortunately you can see visually that something was inserted there.
I am not sure what you mean by "something was inserted there"
