Remove arrow after bullet points

Question

Hello, recently an arrow started appearing after each bullet point. How can I remove it? I have OCD and I find it difficult to work with it!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

The arrow represents a tab character when nonprinting marks are shown in Word.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
To hide all nonprinting marks, including tab characters, click File &gt; Options &gt; Display and clear all check boxes under "Always show these formatting marks on the screen."&nbsp;

The little arrow (triangle) indicates that the text paragraph is a heading and that you can click the arrow to expand or collapse subordinate text, meaning lower level headings or body text paragraphs beneath the heading.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
You can't turn off the display of the arrows/triangles, I'm afraid.
