MS Word Font Substitution

In My recognition, If MS Word has a font that is not in environment, it will use the following elements to find for similar fonts.

・sig

・charset

・panose1

・pitch

・family

・altName

・notTrueType

is this correct?

However, my MS Word also replaces fonts with family roman with Gothic(modern).
