Making blank gaps between paragraphs without creating a ton of new lines

For example, on cover pages you usually create a bunch of paragraphs (the title of the document, who wrote it, etc.), but to make some space between these segments you have to create new lines (enter or shift+enter), which feels a bit unprofessional(?). Like, when you ctrl+a the whole document, you see those thin empty lines highlighted.
Is there a way to do this without enter/shift+enter?
