Mail Merge not working all of a sudden with "Word was unable to mail your document." message

I use outlook, and have been using the same MAC computer for months now. 

 

I typically send Mail Merged items on a regular basis, but encountered an error today:

 

"Word was unable to mail your document."

 

I experienced an issue with the "NEW LOOK" outlook, but was able to continue normal operations by continuing to use the "OLD OUTLOOK" when i needed to send mailings. 

 

I am not sure what changed.

 

I have tried to send the mailing via HTML, Text, and Attachment.

I typically send Mail Merged items on a regular basis, but encountered an error today:
