It's 2023: Why Can't I Insert a PDF Figure Into A Word Document?
I have a scientific figure in the format of a PDF file. I want to insert the figure directly into my Word document. When I try Insert -> Pictures, I cannot select a PDF. When I try Insert -> Object, I get an icon in my document instead of the figure. LaTeX supports many different formats for figure insertion, including PDF. How can I do this in MS Word without using any external software?

First install Acrobat and then Insert → Objects → Adobe Acrobat document select the target PDF file to confirm, the document will be double-click to open the form of embedded attachments.
