Heading style easy and quick fix ?
Hi,
I have some formatting to do on several big documents (more than 200 pages), and one of the issue is that there are a lot of title to have the style "Heading 2" to be applied. These titles already have a different style (also Heading 2 type) applied, but when I import the correct heading 2 style (from Developer tab), it's not taking automatically the correct style.
I have attached what I have (Example heading question), and what I want (Example heading question - expectation).
Ideally, it would take only 2-3 steps to fix all titles...
Is there a way to do that at all?
Thank you all for your help !

I am unsure what is going on.
What I am seeing is:
- You have direct formatting on each of these to turn off Bold.
- When I import the Heading 1 - Heading 9 styles [three times] the Heading 2 style in the target does not apparently change.
- If I use Replace to Replace Heading 2 with Heading 2 the numbering and spacing do appear. The text remains having the Bold turned off.
- If I first go to the Heading 2 style and manually turn off the Bold (that makes it not bold) then when I do the Replace, the styles are identical.
- I can also first select all text in Heading 2, click on the B for bold on the Ribbon tab, and then do the Replace and the styles are identical.
I hope this helps.
