Formatting issues in Word
Hi all,
Since the last couple of updates, I have had formatting issues that are extremely disruptive and frustrating. For the past year or so I've been working around them, hoping a solution would become apparent, but it's now at a point where I really want to try to see if there is a fix. I am on Windows 11/Office 2019 and it should be the latest update.
One issue is whenever I try to write a heading (using Center + Bold + Italics), the new paragraph beneath the heading is automatically centered, even after I turn off centering. A possibly related issue is that if I make a block quote it also throws the formatting off, to the point that when I write a following paragraph I cannot even manually make a paragraph indent (meaning the Tab button just does nothing). To fix it, I have to copy and paste a previous paragraph into the space following the block quote, which is the only way I could find to restore the formatting. I have not, to my knowledge, adjusted any auto-correct or template options that could be causing the issue. Formatting only became a problem for me following a relatively recent update.
Thank you in advance,
Chad

However, aside from that, it would appear that you are not using Styles to apply the various types of formatting that you need. Therefore, I would suggest that you take a look at the following page of the Late Shauna Kelly's website
