Hi. 

Can anyone help?

I have to repeatedly enter variable text into about 40 places on a 6 page document. There are 10 different words that are repeated several times (names etc)

I'd like to create a system where I place all the phrases and words in one place and then have them populate the correct places the document. I figured this out a few years ago but simply can remember what I did.

Hi Stu,

IMO, the best way these days is to use mapped content controls. There are 15 of these that come built into Word as "Document Properties" that can be repurposed, or you can create your own custom controls.
