Can't Access Fillable Form Fields in Headers

Hi,

Using Word for Mac 365 v. 16.40. Want to insert fillable form field into a header but can't--developer tab options (text box, check box, combo box, etc) grey out when I view Header. Any way to do this?

Thank you!

No, legacy form fields can't be placed in a header. Maybe you can use content controls instead. Another possibility is to put the form fields in the body of the document and format them with a specific style, and then use StyleRef fields to repeat their values in the header.
