Backspace not deleting paragraph number

Hi there, 

I can't delete the paragraph number with backspace. Does anybody know how to fix this?

The only way i can delete it is double clicking 3. and then delete. With backspace it won't let me. 

Anybody any ideas how to solve this?

Is the option to "Set left and first indent with tabs and backspaces" selected at File > Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options > AutoFormat As You Type?

But even when i deactivate that option it still won't let me delete the paragraph numbers with backspace.

Hmm, here I can delete a paragraph number when the option is activated. 

I am not sure why it isn't working in your installation. 

As a workaround, you can always re-apply an unnumbered style to text.

@HR303 Press the Enter key TWICE.  The first one will add a new numbered paragraph and the second one will change it to a paragraph in the Normal Style.
