AutoText "filename": automatically update the filename when it changes

Am I missing something obvious here?!?

Using Insert ->Auto-Text -> Filename it inserts the current filename in there.  However if I then update the filename (e.g. xxxxx v1.1 to xxxxx v1.2.docx) the filename still remains as it was the first time it was input.

Is there something I can toggle on, or do differently such that the filename is "live" and draws down from whatever I have it the file called?

Thanks.

If the FILENAME field is in the header or footer, you can force an update by switching to print preview (press Ctrl+P or click File > Print) and then exit the preview with ESC.

If the field is in the main body of the document, select All with Ctrl+A and then update with F9 (on some keyboards, you may have to press Fn+F9).
