Alphabetize Downloads
Good day -
Presently, my list of downloaded documents appears to be listed in random order.
How do I go about having those downloads appear in alphabetized order?
Please, people, simplified instructions. I'm 89 years old and I don't where all the
buttons are that I have to push.
Thanks . . .

Ebtdad If you access the Downloads folder via the Open dialog in Word, the files are listed in reverse chronological order of the date of download and that order cannot be reversed, or changed.
If you access the Downloads folder via the File Explorer, the files appear in alphanumeric order, segregated into the following groups
0 - 9
A-H
I - P
Q - Z
Other (where the file name starts with a non-alphanumeric character.)
That order can be reversed by clicking on the bar shown in blue in the above screen shot, or the order within each group by clicking on the Date modified or Type columns which will be visible if Details is selected in the Layout section of the View tab of the ribbon.
