sconfig / opt-in to Microsoft update - what does this do?

Dear community,
Seeing new options when looking into sconfig settings of current preview releases.
Like to learn more on this feature.
All I have found is this, not sure if this is what this option relates to, as it is a quite old article, yet this option seems to be new, not seeing this in WS 2022 LTSC.

The option explain itself, and yes, it does what the old article says
which enables you to receive updates for other Microsoft products, like .NET 6/7/8, Powershell 7, Visual Studio...
- So it's rather the "get updates for other Microsoft products"?
