sandeepmadahar82I have a 6th gen in my lappy has secure boot and TMP 2.0 just not the generation I ran the copy on the dev channel with no issues so curious hold up on beta or release for 6th gen. make software free but make a show of qualifying devices by generation name versus capability and all security requirements seriously why make people sweat it out win 11 isnt brand new anymore
- faisal95bdCopper ContributorStill MS hasn't given the support 😞
- Caffeine_Monster69Copper ContributorHi! All you need is an ISO for Windows 11 but you need to evaluate your PC specs. Now, as Microsoft states that Windows 11 will be needing a supported CPU (they lowered it from 8th gen to 7th gen CPU), TPM 2.0 and a UEFI bios. If you don't have those two requirements (TPM 2.0 and UEFI BIOS), most likely Windows 11 cannot be installed onto your system. Currently I am using Windows 11 on Dev Channel. My laptop has TPM 2.0 and UEFI BIOS but doesn't have a compatible CPU (6th gen core i3). My overall experience using Windows 11 on an unsupported CPU (at least for now) is satisfying than Windows 10. It was more responsive and fluid when it comes to transitions and overall multi tasking is a breeze.
- membyCopper ContributorHow did you get windows 11. Did you purchase again or got update some how. I want to upgrade too

- Harry2308Copper ContributorDigital license of windows 10 was working with 11 or is it asking to purchase again?
- Madahar786Copper ContributorIts working i am using digital license but just make sure windows 10 pro with 11 pro and windows home with 11 home dont mix it
- whontyCopper ContributorI'm currently trying to install it from a bootable USB but I'd have to start from boot as it won't let me "upgrade". I'm on 6th Gen i5, and I have another computer running Win-11 on 7th Gen i7 and its perfect tbh

try to get register with developer mode you will be able to get windows updates@whonty
- SunnyXCopper ContributorWill need to wait and see what MS do. It will be a huge shame, all these systems that will end up in a land fill, so much for reducing pollution and waste.
- Madahar786Copper ContributorI recently notice windows 11 support 11 year old process core to duo but not intel 6th generation i dont what Microsoft is upto
Hello,
Atm, Microsoft is testing Windows 11 on Intel 7th-generation processor but there is no official update for Intel 6th-generation processor. Kindly wait and keep an eye on updates from Windows official blog: https://blogs.windows.com.
Hope this helps!- ThundertearsCopper ContributorThey should allow you to use a 6th generation processor for windows 11 because do you know how much it will cost to buy a new computer? It will cost around about $2000 or more for one so all these excuses with windows 11 not being compatible with 6th generation processors is total rubbish and don't get me started with the succure boot and the TPM rubbish it's all their excuses to force you to buy a new computer
- Madahar786Copper Contributor
you are right man this is called the dark side of these business if you cant sell the product then force the customert to buy itThundertears
- AnthonySteel ContributorWindows is only supported for 8th generation processors and up. At least at the time of this post. Plus TPM 2.0 chip is required.
- Reza_AmeriSilver ContributorIn case you want to upgrade but your system is not compatible report it using the Feedback Hub app.

What will happened if you install windows 11 on unsupported PC?
Ans: First of all, you need to make sure that your pc has Trusted Platform Module 2.0(TPM 2.0).
if your pc has intel i3 6th gen processor its work fine.
honestly, I also had used windows 11 in i3 6th gen just Add good HDD
I recommend if you used a Good SSD in Your PC your windows 11 will work lot better than before.
you can easily install windows 11 on unsupported pc by using software called Rufus.
(By Rufus you can restrict your installation media to check your system).
- torontotom6402Copper Contributorif you get a windows 10 installer and change the .wim file with one from windows 11 it will install windows 11 I did it. one downside is when you do that Microsoft stops letting you get the newest update like you wouldn't be able to get 23h1 but you do get security updates so if it is absolutely necessary than do it if not do not
