What is the best Facebook video downloader for PC on Windows 11?

I recently prepared some teaching materials and needed to download videos from Facebook for classroom demonstrations. I have tried some online Facebook video downloader tools before, but they either had too many ads, were slow, or had errors halfway through downloading, which really affected my efficiency. I am also quite worried that these tools may cause security issues, such as viruses or malware.

I use Windows 11 and want to find a stable and secure FB video downloader, preferably one that can download in batches to save time. Has anyone used this kind of tool and can recommend a reliable one? The quality of the video after downloading should not be too bad, and it would be better if it can maintain clarity.

Have you tried some online Facebook video downloader tool? I have used some online Facebook video download tools before, such as SaveeFrom. The operation is relatively simple. Just copy the video link and paste it in, and you can choose different resolutions to download. They do not require any software installation and can be done with a browser.

However, there is a small problem with online tools, that is, there are a lot of ads, and sometimes you will accidentally click on some pop-up windows, which is annoying. The download speed is okay, and occasionally there will be invalid links, but in general, if you only download a few videos occasionally, these tools are still quite convenient.

I have tried to use the Xbox Game Bar that comes with Windows to record Facebook videos. Although it is not a direct download, it is indeed quite simple. Open the video, then press Windows + G to call out the Game Bar, click the screen recording button, and directly record the playback process of the video. After recording, the video will be automatically saved to the computer. Although the image quality is not as clear as that of direct download, it is completely sufficient for some ordinary needs.

However, if the video is longer, the file will be quite large, and sometimes you have to manually process the excess recorded parts. But the operation is simple, and there is no need to toss other Facebook video downloader tools. It is very convenient to use occasionally.

FB-DDL might not be the best pick if you're looking for the Facebook video downloader for Windows 11 PC. While it's free and open-source, which is pretty cool, you might run into some hiccups with user experience. The interface isn't always the most polished or user-friendly, especially if you're not super tech-savvy. Sometimes it feels like you're using something from the early 2000s, and figuring out how to navigate through it can be a bit of a headache.

Also, being open-source means that the updates and support might not be as consistent. You could find yourself on an older version that doesn't work quite right with the latest Facebook updates or video formats. Trust me, nothing's worse than trying to download a video only to have it crash or give you some wild error message.

Another thing is the format support. While it claims to be versatile, some users have reported that certain formats don't always play nice after downloading. You might end up with a file that doesn't work in your usual video player, adding unnecessary steps to your download process.

About using FB-DDL, most people aren't comfortable typing commands into a black screen, and messing up even one command could lead to frustration. It's not exactly user-friendly for anyone who's more of a visual learner or just wants a quick click-and-go solution.

Even though it's open-source and versatile to download private Facebook video to PC, it might take some time to figure out how to use it effectively. You might find yourself googling instructions just to get it going, which can be a hassle. It's not the most "fast food" approach to downloading videos, you know?

Also, while it supports a variety of formats, if you're looking for a specific one, it can get a bit tricky. Sometimes you might end up with a file type that doesn't play nicely with your usual media players. It's like getting a donut but realizing it's filled with something you're not a fan of—disappointing, right?

Not all the Facebook video downloaders play nice with every operating system. Make sure it's compatible with your version of Windows. Trust me, there's nothing worse than installing something and then realizing it won't work with Windows 11 (or whatever you've got). Some programs come with sneaky ads or additional software that you didn't sign up for. Read the fine print! You don't want your machine bogged down with junk. The Microsoft Store has some legit apps that can help with downloading videos. Last I checked, apps like "4K Video Downloeder" or "JDownloeder" were available, and they usually have solid reviews.

If you're on Edge (which is pretty decent these days), you can sometimes find extensions or features that help save videos right from the browser. Just check the extension store for something legit!

Allison_DeleonE Use the browser developer tools. This method is actually quite useful, but it is a bit technical. Open the Facebook video page, press F12 to enter the developer tools, and then switch to the "Network" option. Then you play the video, it will start loading resources. Among the pile of files, you find one ending with ".mp4", which is usually a video file. Right-click it and select "Open in new tab", and the video will play on a new page. At this time, right-click to save and you're done.

    1. Open the Facebook video page.

    2. Press F12 to open the developer tools.

    3. Select the "Network" option.

    4. Play the video, and the page will load resources.

    5. Among the loaded resources, find a file ending with ".mp4".

    6. Right-click this file and select "Open in new tab".

    7. The video will open in a new tab, right-click the video and select "Save Video" to complete the download.

Although it is not a dedicated Facebook video downloader tool, it can also download videos easily, but it is not suitable for batch downloading.

Open the video on Facebook that you want to download. Right-click on the video and select "Copy video URL". Open Command Prompt by searching for cmd in the Start menu. In the CMD, type the  command for downloading facebook videos to computer in a simple way:

Try to change the "www" in the Facebook video link to "m", which will load the mobile version. Then just right-click on the video and select "Save Video", the you should download facebook videos for PC!

By the way, when you using some online Facebook video downloading websites. Let's not forget the potential safety issue. While many of these sites claim to be safe, some could expose you to malware or sketchy downloads. You never really know when clicking on an unknown link might bring some trouble your way.

Allison_DeleonE Facebook does not offer a direct download option for videos in most cases, but there are some exceptions. If you've uploaded a video to Facebook, you can download Facebook videos to computer using the built-in option. No need to install a desktop facebook video downloader software on your PC. Go to your profile or page. Find the video you've uploaded. Click on the three-dot menu (•••) next to the video. You’ll see options to Download Video in HD or SD quality.

While you cannot download other people's videos directly from Facebook, you can save videos within the platform for later viewing by using the Save Video option. However, this does not store the video on your device; it only bookmarks the video on Facebook.

You can try some online Facebook video downloader websites, which support direct pasting of Facebook video links to download. You just need to copy the video link, select the resolution you want, and then you can download it directly. It is easy to operate and you don’t need to install any software. Although there are sometimes some ads, it is safe and can be used to download a few teaching videos.
