Turned on MFA on microsoft and I am stuck. I was told to reset my account

As required by microsoft I turned on MFA on my business account where I am admin. It logged me out everywhere and when I log on it asks for the code from my authenticator app. I don't think I have ever used this app (I use the google one usually). If I had used it then it was 5 years ago. When I try to install the authenticator app it asks for a authenticator app code. and of course I can't log into admin to turn off MFA as it asks for a code from the authenticator app

Well, if you can login your account then you may just head to Security Info option to adding another Authenticator app... That's it.

@Little_Joe  where is the security info option?

Click on your avatar > my account > Security Info > to adding another authentication method.
My problem is that i can't log in
What's error message displayed?

@michaelkjanos, you must have Authenticator app already installed when you opt to enable MFA.

If you haven't, then you might have enabled a different verification method to turn on MFA.

And if that's true, you can that verification method to login, instead of Authenticator app.
