Win11 22H2 performance decrease after disconnected from remote desktop session

Copper Contributor

as subjected, my desktop shows a performance issue after being disconnected from an RDP session.

this issue shows up after I upgrade my OS to windows 11 22H2. it can constantly reproduce on my side.

my current workaround is to reboot, but I don't want to reboot my desktop every time after an RDP session.

Did someone have similar problem with me?

Hi, my whole team is experiencing similar issues. When they are using remote desktop to connect (and work) from 2 different locations (office & home) overall PC performance decreases and this issue severely impact performance of the whole team.

Quick fix is to reboot the machine every time when they switch working location.

Is there any way we can track and fix this issue?

@milenao I am not able to root the cause for that and my current solution is to reinstall Win 11 and stays at the 21H2 version, this works fine for me...

are you saying you just do a reinstall over the top of the PC without wiping anything, or do you wipe data first?
