Print Preview Failed from Web Browsers
Unable to print from Web browsers, both Chrome and Edge. When printing, it shows the error Print Preview Failed, and the available printer is greyed out. Attached is a picture for your reference. Can someone help me troubleshoot the issue.
OS: Windows 11
browsers are Chrome and Edge
I tried the following without any success:
- I tried to print from both browsers and got the same error
- I logged into another user account and getting the same error
- I reinstalled the printer driver
- Reset both browsers and update to latest version
Note: This PC was upgraded from Windows 10 to 11 recently, and it is a member of a domain.
- Estelle87Copper ContributorI am having the same issue and it is just the print preview and then it defaults to save to PDF even though I have another printer as the default. Happens from all applications. Takes about 2 minutes for print preview to come up.
- Drizzybro1Brass ContributorEnsure that the Printer Queue service is started and set to run automatically; disable hardware acceleration in your browser and restart your browser; then clear all documents from the print queue; run Windows' Printing Troubleshooter; check the policy settings to ensure that there are no rules restricting printing; make sure that firewalls or security software are not blocking the print service; and reset the network settings via the Command Prompt.
