Possible to recover deleted WhatsApp messages without backup on Windows 11?

Hi,

I am using WhatsApp on my Windows 11 along with my Samsung Galaxy S24 phone. Today, I accidentally deleted a few important WhatsApp messages, and unfortunately, they were not in my previous backup made one week ago. I’ve been searching for ways to recover these messages but haven’t had much luck so far.

Has anyone here successfully recovered deleted WhatsApp messages without a backup? What tools or methods did you use, and how effective were they? Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Go and check the Google Drive account associated with your Samsung phone. They might be automatically backup from there. You can recover deleted WhatsApp messages when you reinstall WhatsApp. Simply uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp, verify your phone number, and follow the prompts to restore your chats from Google Drive.

Step 1: Verify Your Google Account Backup

    • Launch the Google Drive app on your device and log in with your Google account credentials.
    • Tap on the Menu icon and navigate to the "Backups" section.
    • Look for WhatsApp backups in the list. If you see them, your data is safely stored, and you can proceed with restoration.

Step 2: Restore Your WhatsApp Data from Google Account Backup

    • Begin by uninstalling WhatsApp from your device, then reinstall it.
    • During the setup process, you’ll be asked if you want to restore your chat history.
    • Choose "Restore" when prompted. Be careful not to skip this step, as doing so will install WhatsApp without retrieving your backed-up data.

    1.Contact the Other Party

If the deleted messages were part of a chat with another person, you could ask them if they have the conversation saved and if they could forward you any messages you need.
    2. Cloud Services

If you ever synced your WhatsApp data with a cloud service (like OneDrive or similar), check if there's any folder or backup that may contain WhatsApp messages or data.

If you've never backed up your WhatsApp chats, there's a chance that the deleted messages might not be stored in your Google Drive account. WhatsApp only saves chats to Google Drive if you have automatic backups enabled and your phone is connected to a stable internet connection. If you've never enabled backups or your phone was offline when the messages were deleted, you might not be able to recover deleted WhatsApp messages without backup on Windows 11.

If you accidentally delete WhatsApp messages without a backup, it can be a bit tricky, but there are still some ways to try to recover deleted WhatsApp messages without backup:

    1. Check the computer version of WhatsApp: Since you mentioned that you also use WhatsApp on Windows 11, you can first check the WhatsApp app on your computer. Sometimes, messages deleted on your phone may not be synced to the computer version, so you have a chance to recover them from the computer version.
    2. Use the file recovery function of your device: For Samsung Galaxy S24, you can try to use the file recovery function built into the phone. Some Samsung devices provide a "Recently Deleted" folder, or similar functions, which may help you recover the WhatsApp messages you just deleted.
    3. Contact the sender to resend: This may sound a bit straightforward, but if it is a recent conversation, you can try to contact the sender of the message and ask them to resend those important messages. This method is simple and direct, and does not involve any complicated technical operations.

Although not having a backup does make the situation complicated, the above methods are worth a try, and I hope they can help you!

If you have WhatsApp set up to automatically back up to Google Drive, this method may help you recover recently deleted WhatsApp messages. I personally used this method to recover an important conversation, and it was easier than you thought.

    1. First, you need to make sure your phone is connected to the Internet, preferably a stable Wi-Fi environment. Then, follow these steps:
    2. Uninstall WhatsApp: Uninstall the WhatsApp app on your phone. You can find WhatsApp in the application manager and select "Uninstall".
    3. Reinstall WhatsApp: Download and install WhatsApp again from the Google Play Store or App Store.
    4. Verify account: Open the newly installed WhatsApp and enter your mobile phone number for verification. This mobile phone number must be the same as the one you used to back up your messages.
    5. Restore data: After installation and verification, WhatsApp will automatically detect the backup file in Google Drive. If a backup is detected, the app will prompt you to restore it. Select "Restore" and you will see your previous chat history begin to be restored to your phone.
    6. Check messages: After the recovery process is complete, open WhatsApp to check whether the messages you need have been restored.
    7.

This method has successfully restored some important work-related messages that I accidentally deleted. As long as you have made a backup before, this method is quite reliable. Hope this helps you too!

If you haven't enabled automatic backups or haven't backed up your WhatsApp chats before, this method won't work. WhatsApp needs a backup file to restore your chats, and if you don't have one, you're out of luck. Even if you do have a backup file, this method only restores the most recent backup. If you deleted messages more than 7 days ago (WhatsApp's default backup period), you won't be able to recover deleted WhatsApp messages.

Mauricioftr When attempting to recover deleted WhatsApp messages without a backup on Windows 11, there are several important considerations to keep in mind:

***The sooner you attempt recovery after the messages are deleted, the higher the chances of success. Deleted data can be overwritten by new data, reducing the likelihood of successful recovery.

***Specialized WhatsApp data recovery software can be used to scan your Android or iPhone for deleted WhatsApp messages. Ensure that the software you choose supports WhatsApp data recovery and is compatible with your device.

***For Android devices, you’ll need to enable USB Debugging in the Developer Options and grant necessary permissions when connecting your phone to the Windows 11 PC. This allows the recovery software to access the phone’s storage for scanning.

Mauricioftr Recovering deleted WhatsApp messages without a backup through a workshop or professional service typically involves a few key steps. These services usually employ advanced data recovery tools and techniques that may not be readily available to regular users.

When you take your device to a workshop, the technicians will first assess the device to determine the possibility of recovering the deleted WhatsApp messages. They will check whether the device is functioning properly and whether the storage has been significantly overwritten since the messages were deleted. This initial assessment helps them decide on the best approach for recovery.
