No connection, DHCP issue ?

Hi,

First of all sorry if I'm not clear enough, English is not my first language.

So I had a problem with my computer that wouldn't connect to my wifi (other devices connected to the wifi).

I tried all the basic stuff but saw on windows help that I could open the command thing and do ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew.

I restarted my computer but nothing has changed.

When "looking for help" in my Windows settings they tell me "Impossible to reach DHCP server". (hope I'm translating well, my computer is in French).

Windows suggested restarting network adapter/network interface card so I did that but nothing changed still.

Anyways I couldn't find something easy to understand online and was wondering if I could get some help from one of you. 🙂 would save my life haha

Are you able to connect with LAN?
Try turn off your Wi-Fi router and wait for 10 minutes and turn it on and try again.
  • Hi Yanisech,

    Please try this action plan:
    - Turn of fast start-setup (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\System Settings)
    - Command prompt (as administrator) > sfc /scannow
    - Command prompt (as administrator) > DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    - Delete your Wifi network adapter (Device manager > Network adapters). The adapter will be reinstalled during reboot
    - Reboot your machine

Reboot your access points or router.
