Good reason to not use documents etc folders
Really good reason not to leave anything in the Windows 11 created Users folders such as Desktop or Documents or Downloads etc - I got a new computer coz old one breaking down, put the hard drive from the old computer into a hard drive dock to transfer a few of the latest files over (the rest were on a backup) only to find that doze won't give you permission to view anything in Users. Yeah, there's lots of ideas on how to fix this, none working so far, so the new computer will have those folders kept empty so I never have to fuss with this problem again.
Why would doze do that???

The original user account permissions are stored in the folder's security settings. When the drive is connected to a new system, Windows may block access to these folders because the permissions don't match the new user account, leading to "Access Denied" errors.

When you try to access the Users folder or its contents, you're likely seeing a permissions error message. This is because the file system is trying to apply the permissions of the original owner, which may not be the same as the current user account on the new computer.
