Cannot Sign Into Windows 11 Business with a Local Account
I have created a local user account on my Windows 11 , but cannot sign in using that user. Per the attached screenshot, there is seemingly no way to change the logon to be local. The key button does not do anything. I have read articles focusing on how to create a local account and others talking about converting an account to local but have not found this particular item. The computer is part of a workgroup. Tried a power-off reboot.

Based on your description, you are likely currently signed in with the built-in Administrator account. For security reasons, Windows 11 deliberately disables the "local account" switching option and restricts certain login methods when using this account. That explains why the button appears but doesn't respond.
