Wish: Possibility to rename Bluetooth devices
I was referring to Windows 10.
Control Panel ( Open with the key combination [Windows] + [R]. Enter "control" there and confirm with "OK" or [Enter])
> Devices and Printers
> select device
> right mouse button
> Properties
> Bluetooth
> Customize name or .Change
> OK
It seems that the steps I provided may not work for your specific device or version of Windows 10. Some Bluetooth devices may not have the option to be renamed through the Windows settings.
However, you may be able to rename your Bluetooth device through its manufacturer’s software or app. You can check the device’s documentation or the manufacturer’s website for more information on how to do this.

Yes, I started from Control Panel. I could make a video but is it necessary?
But your answer is not consistent. In your previous answer, you wrote "Properties > General". Now you wrote "Properties > Bluetooth". Which one?
With all due respect, how about you provide some screenshot or even better, a video showing us that you could indeed rename Bluetooth devices? That would be 1000 times better than mere words.

Which version of Windows 10 are you using? Could you give us a screenshot?
I don't think so. I have some Bluetooth headsets worth 100 USD to 300 USD but none provides the possibility to rename it. And I have seen tens of other Bluetooth devices in other computers and I have NEVER seen the possibility to rename them.

Nope. I cannot see such "manufacturer's software".

Windows 10 does not provide a straightforward way to rename Bluetooth devices in the UI, despite what some sources claim.
This behavior is typical in Windows 10 and even 11 for many Bluetooth devices, especially generic ones like BT 5.0 mice, headphones, etc.
To rename Bluetooth devices manually, you can do this via the Windows Registry.
Be careful — editing the registry can cause issues if you modify the wrong values. Proceed only if you're comfortable doing this.
Alternative: Rename via Device Firmware (only if supported)
Some modern Bluetooth devices support custom names via:
Companion apps (Logitech Options, Bose, Jabra, etc.)
Bluetooth Low Energy GATT custom name profile
If your device supports it, rename it on the device/app itself, and Windows might reflect the new name.
hope the information helped you a little.

After all those Bull$h!t replies you gave us here years ago, I don't think people would believe your last reply again.
Stop writing in this thread. You are NOT WELCOME here. Get away!

In this forum everyone tries to help each other as much as they can, I think that's the logic of this forum.
It's understandable that one can get annoyed if one absolutely wants to complete one's project and a topic like this takes up too much time.
But acting like a spoiled child doesn't help anyone, especially you.
You write a message at the beginning where you have to smell your fingernails to understand exactly what the poet is trying to imply.
However, this kind of behavior is unacceptable; I don't fall into that level.
Someone is looking for help and thinks they can be the judge, which is understandable for them... anyway, I don't want to deal with this kind of thing.
For me, any communication in this post ends here.
Have a nice day... I hope so.
