Windows Update Stuck at 99% for Hours, Only to Roll Back and Fail Again
Windows Update where the update process gets stuck at 99% for hours without completing. Despite waiting patiently, the update either rolls back automatically or fails entirely, leaving my system in a state of incomplete installation and preventing me from accessing the latest features and security patches. This problem occurs repeatedly, and I have tried various basic troubleshooting steps without success. I am looking for advice or solutions from the community to resolve this frustrating issue and successfully complete the Windows update process.

Always back up important data before performing advanced troubleshooting or system repairs.
Restart your PC and interrupt the normal boot process three times to trigger automatic repair. From the options, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
