Windows 10 Thunderbolt Message Appears on Thunderbolt 3 connection

Upon connecting a Thunderbolt 3 device to a Win 10 computer the following message appears in a dialog box center screen: "Creating a Thunderbolt Connection with NAS...".

 

This dialog box remains on screen until 'Cancel' is pressed.

 

Is there documentation to explain why this comes up for Windows 10 and it's purpose? (No NAS involved in this scenario)

    Is your Windows up to date? also if it's not a NAS then what is the device you're connecting which is named NAS by mistake?
