Windows 10 Pictures View Panel

When I view pictures, they appear in the view panel, all except those of dimension 2448 x 2448 pixels. Those pictures will appear only if I alter their size. This applies exclusively to pictures 2448 x 2448. I have tried suggested solutions to cleanup thumbnails but nothing has worked so far.

Windows has a known limitation: It struggles to generate thumbnails for images above certain dimensions. According to Microsoft documentation, images larger than approximately 4000 x 1700 pixels often fail to display thumbnails. While 2448 x 2448 is technically smaller than that threshold, square images behave differently — Windows calculates thumbnail dimensions based on the longer side (2448 pixels in your case), which may be pushing the internal cache limit.

Verify if these images are in a format that Windows Photo Viewer or your default viewer handles well. Try opening the images with a different viewer to see if they display correctly outside the default viewer.
