Win10 File Explorer ribbon expands slowly when clicking the View tab

When you click the View tab on the File Explorer ribbon, it takes 2 to 4 seconds for the available options to expand and appear. The ribbon appears to freeze briefly before rendering, especially in folders or network locations containing a large number of files.

There is no delay when switching to the Home tab. You can avoid this issue by disabling the ribbon and using Compact View.
