Why the laptop wakes from sleep because you moved the mouse one millimeter?

My laptop keeps waking up from sleep whenever the mouse gets bumped even slightly, and it only takes a millimeter of movement to trigger it. This makes sleep mode almost useless because any tiny vibration or accidental nudge brings the system back to life instead of staying asleep.
