Why is there no login box on the main screen of my Windows 10 system?

On my Windows 10 system, the main screen no longer displays the standard login box for entering my password or PIN, leaving me unable to sign in. Instead of the usual username and password fields, I only see a blank background or a lock screen that won’t progress to the login prompt.

    Hold down the power button until the PC turns off. Wait a few seconds, then turn it back on to see if the login screen appears normally.

    On the lock screen, press Ctrl + Alt + Del. This usually brings up options to switch users, lock screen, or access the sign-in prompt.
