When using a USB-C monitor with Windows 10, is it possible to hide the Safely Remove Hardware icon?
When connecting an external monitor via USB-C on Windows 10, the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon always appears in the taskbar. It’s just video output, not a storage drive. The latest Windows 10 doesn’t allow hiding this icon individually. Is there any way to fix this?

Most recent Windows 10 versions don't support hiding the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon individually, especially when it appears due to hardware connections like USB-C video output. The most straightforward method is to disable or toggle notification icons in the taskbar settings, but if the icon persists, it might be tied to hardware detection behavior that can't be easily suppressed.

You can hide all notification icons or disable notifications entirely.
