The mouse can move but cannot click in Windows 10 within a virtual machine

In the virtual machine, having too many windows open has caused a memory leak and lag. After dragging a window, the software closes automatically. The mouse can then move and hover normally, but neither the left nor right buttons respond.

The keyboard works fine, and Task Manager shows memory usage at 60%. Is it possible to restore mouse click functionality without restarting the virtual machine?

    Press Ctrl + Alt simultaneously to release the mouse from the VM's capture, then click back inside the VM window to recapture it.
